The Governance structure of Alpha is made up of an international board which provides oversight for the strategy and development of the organisation and national level boards, which raise the profile of Alpha in their home country and directly support projects in the field.

Alpha Communities International e.V. was registered in 2006 in Europe. It is made up of representatives from each of the home boards and from the field offices. The organisation has Field Directors for both China and Mongolia and an Executive Officer for external relations and legal compliance based in Beijing, China.

Alpha is registered as a charity in Holland, Germany, the US and the UK, governed by a separate national level Board of Trustees in each country. Contact details for each of the boards are given on the Contact Us page. Donations via the national boards may be tax deductible.
